ALL OF YOU need to watch this video, featuring Jamii Bora’s Ingrid Munro interviewed by MicrofinanceNow. Ingrid is the inspiration and energy behind everything we do. Words alone cannot express our love and admiration for this most wonderful Nobel Peace Prize nominee, so we rally for her instead!
We started Race4Change in 2009 to use the Safari Rally as a conduit to transport Ingrid’s microfinance message of empowerment to the masses all over East Africa: people who would otherwise never see it through traditional media.
Ingrid is all about helping mothers get the things they want for their kids, and that is what we are about too. Listen to her talk about adopting three street kids of her own, and how they taught her what was required and how she could manage it: inspirational beyond measure.
Kenya’s Jamii Bora has grown from 50 beggars to over 300,000 members. It as just been awarded regulated co-operative bank status, allowing the organisation to spread through Kenya on the same footing as the big banks. Ingrid Munro – we salute you, now and forever.
Watch this great interview with Ingrid and get a real picture of what this Race for Change is all about.
